I met Tim in 1988, and grew to know him well starting in 1989 while we were in symphonic band. He was a talented drummer; I think the best at West High during his time there. We were also in the basketball pep band together, and I remember many a night that a bunch of us (Him, Amy, Ben, and others) piled into a booth at Colonial Restaurant after a game and ate French fries. He, Amy, and I usually shared a large plate full. I remember these times fondly. The fun we had talking and goofing around, I will always remember. He loved playing the drums, everywhere. With his practice putty in his pocket and his drumsticks in hand, he was constantly prepared for a chance to practice. He often played on the lunch table as a few of us in a panic finished our physics homework. He was a great friend who was always there for people. He was a great support during rough times, and could always get a smile to appear on my face. What I think I'll miss most is his goofy
smile and hearty laugh that could brighten anyone's day. Julie Clennon |
