Ryan grew up a Navy brat and always wanted to be a pilot. His father Gregory DeMik, Lt. Commander, was stationed all around the world in his 20+ years flying fixed wing in the Navy. He joined HMM-364 and moved to Camp Pendleton in January of 2002.
