Fox
the unity of the squadron created not only strong bonds but
an indefinable pride of participating in a moment of history with some
of the finest men that the Marine Corps ever produced. Of course, younger
we did not see the significance and honor it was to be a part of the Purple
Foxes. The Foxy Ladies pondered how we could help preserve the heritage of the Purple Foxes with the younger generation (hey, we aren't that old, you know!). We came up with providing young Fox babies with a special Baby Fox quilt. Here is a look at the first baby quilt created by Foxy Lady Margie Horton. Each new baby Fox is presented with one by the current CO's wife, along with a card signed from the Foxy Ladies members, you! Margie only had two weeks to put this one together before the first baby was born! We will feature the new design as soon as it has been completed. Your membership dues help cover the cost of this project. |
