PX facilities nearby can fulfill most basic needs but Care Packages are critical for the morale of a Marine. But we Foxy Ladies like to go even further. Don't know a Fox?  See our No Fox? segment for how you can sponsor a 'World Famous HMM-364 Purple Fox"! You will brighten up some lucky Marine's day!

Why not send a themed package such as an Hawaii Adventure or a '70's Party?
     Use your imagination!
Send a card from a favorite pet. Include a photo and story of their adventures.
The local hometown newspaper is always a hit so why not include one?
If your gift has a fragrance (Yes, bubble gum or room freshners count!) pack
them in a zip lock bag so everything else won't smell like it!

Small boxes arrive faster (about the size of two shoe boxes).

Priority Mail will arrive within 7-15 days, depending the sender's location.

USPS "Flat Rate" Priority Mail. Cost $8.95 regardless of      weight!

You have a choice of two sizes:

11" X 8.5" X 5.5" - Short and fat, you can pack almost anything in these babies!

11-7/8" x 3-3/8" x 13-5/8"
- Long and lean you can send 14 lbs of magazines and stuff with ease!

Free of charge, you can find these at your local post office or order online at,
UPS Postal Store . Delivery free, minimum order is 20 boxes

Avoid using recycled boxes that may be damaged, torn, or punctured.

Use clear packing tape and seal all openings (other tapes do not hold up with
     the hot climate.)

Use plastic bags with zip-style closures for small items that are editable or leak.

Plastic peanuts, unbuttered popcorn, tissue paper are all good choices for
     packing material.

Plan ahead for special events like birthdays and anniversaries.
Don't embarrass your Fox by sending something you think is cute but will be      made fun of by his/her buddies.

Regardless of value or contents, every Priority Mail International package must bear a completed a
Form 2776-A Customs Declaration and Dispatch Note.

Save time by having the form filled out before you       arrive at the post office and grab a handful to have
      on
hand for future packages.

Make certain to fill out these boxes:
From:
That's you!
To:
Provide the rank, name, squadron, unit and APO/FPO and whatever else your serviceman/woman gives you as their address. It will help to get the care package in their hands faster.
Detailed Description of Contents:

You can generalize things like snacks, DVD, CD books.
Qty:
Not as important, so generalize the amount. Sometimes after the box is taped you forget!
Value:
Provide a general value range such as $50-400. Anything over that amount you may want to insure.
Airmail/Priority:
If you are using a flat-rate box you will check this box. If not, you have the option to use the slower Surface/Non priority box. It will get there 5 months from now!
Gift:
All care packages sent to military personnel is considered a gift.
Sender's Instruction in Case of Non-Delivery:
You may want to check the box Treat as Abandoned should your package not arrive. If you must have the package returned you will have to pay return fees.

You may date and sign your customs form at the post office.

Contact your local post office if you have further questions.

Don't know a Purple Fox personally? Don't worry, we welcome all individuals, schools and organizations that wish to support the "World Famous HMM-364 Purple Foxes" but in order to protect our men and women we reserve the right to screen individuals or groups that are unknown to us or HMM-364.org.In order to get a valid APO/FPO address and name please contact Vicki at HMM-364 Foxy Ladies or Frank at HMM-364.org.

We will do our best to match you with a Purple Fox that is right for you!

Our Foxes are busy so think about including a blank note along with an
self-addressed envelope (stamps are not required) so they can quickly       acknowledge your gift.
But don't be discouraged if your Marine fails to       answer. Saving lives is priority.
If you were associated with HMM-364 or other squadrons in the past
(Vietnam WAY counts!) think about sending an old photo of yourself along      with story or two. They like to know they carry on tradition.
Rather send a package just to the Foxes without an individual name?
Contact us and we will give you an address of someone in the squadron
     that will distribute your bounty!

What is better than having a free international phone call? But the rates will be higher calling internationally, so don't expect the same amount of minutes as you do in the US! Currently The Military Exchange offers the best price and you can purchase in bulk if you want. Sam's club is also a good place to look. They sometimes have 500 minutes for under $30.
Special occasion? Send a calling card along with a note telling them
when you will be available to take the call. Make certain that their work       schedule works first!
International calls on cell phones are expensive. Think about sending a
pre-paid card for a break from the expense.
